General Format This laboratory course will introduce students to a number of modern
experimental techniques for compreshensive experimental characterization
of advanced polymer fiber reinforces composites. It will provide hands-on
experience with the state-of-the-art experimental systems for composite
manufacturing,, thermo-mechanical analysis, mechanical testing, and non-
destructive evaluation. Roughly, 1/2 of the time will be devoted to
lectures and 1/2 to laboratory sessions utilizing leading edge experimental
equipment.
Schedule There will be seven individual experimental miniprojects and a final exam
Grading Miniprojects @ 20 pts 140
Final 60
Total 200 points
